Our Divorce Practice
We have a comprehensive understanding of Minnesota's no-fault divorce laws and represent men and women at all stages of a divorce, from the preparation and filing of the complaint through negotiated settlements or trial to post-judgment actions seeking modification or enforcement of existing divorce orders. We handle all matters related to or arising out of the dissolution of a marriage, including:
- child custody and visitation. We will help you establish and implement custody and visitation arrangements that are in the best interests of your minor child while protecting your rights as parents.
- child support. We will review all proposed child support agreements to ensure compliance with Minnesota guidelines and to ensure that all relevant income is factored into the equation.
- the division of property and debt. We will help you equitably divide the debts and assets of your marriage, including real estate, investments, bank accounts, retirement funds and business property. We will handle any tax issues that arise.
- collaborative process. Unlike conventional divorce, Collaborative Practice avoids most court appearances and offers you a team of skilled and compassionate professionals.
